I am not resisting is a declaration of compliance, often used by protestors when detained by law enforcement. The title of this performance, which followed ‘Public Safety’ and preceded ‘Snatch and Release’, is part of a trilogy rooted in subversive protest. The performance takes place on the basement floor parterre, viewed from above. In I Am Not Resisting I reenact what happened the night of October 2nd, 2010, with an invisible attacker.
