Oil on hallah
Since 2003, I have developed a painting practice on hallah bread (a ritual bread in Jewish cuisine). It is my way of working with personal or collective, often difficult memories and images. When I first started making these, I was hoping to document their disintegration, but these “memory pieces” prove surprisingly durable.
