Nest Live Performance

Nest (live performance 2007)

3h, National Museum in Kraków

Curated by Naomi Aviv as part of "The Raft of Medusa: Israeli Art and the Monster of Self-Identity", which explores how the iconic Géricault painting, depicting shipwreck survivors' despair and hope, serves as a powerful metaphor for the fragmented, often traumatic, Israeli collective identity and national narratives

I built a nest from branches we collected in the woods around the city, gathered into a video installation. During the exhibition reception, I peeled candles into the nest to reveal the image of a woman frantically moving on her back in my video You Asked Me To Dance (2001).
